How do I work out the unit cost?

Divide the pack price by the number of units in the pack. For example, a pack of 50 beads costing £4 means each bead costs £0.08.

Should I include items I already own?

Yes. Even if you bought supplies previously, include their cost to get an accurate picture of what each project truly costs to make.

Use decimals. If you use half a sheet of card, enter 0.5 as the quantity used. The calculator handles fractional amounts.
