Mould Fill Calculator — Resin with Embeds

Estimate resin needed to fill silicone moulds accounting for embedded objects.

Embedding Objects

Subtract object volume from resin needed

How We Calculate This

How the Calculation Works

The mould volume is calculated by geometric formula. The volume of any embedded objects is subtracted (they displace resin). A waste allowance is added for mixing cup residue and spillage.

Rectangle: L x W x D. Circle: pi x r² x D. Hemisphere: 2/3 x pi x r³. Sphere: 4/3 x pi x r³.

Resin needed = mould volume - embed volume + waste %.
